Summer holidays when sun, sea, sangria and romance beckon!

Holidays are a time for romance and loving for many women, but uncertainties about contraception and the risk of failure are spoiling the chance to relax, not to mention some of the fun.

Whether in a long-term relationship or open to brief encounters, it is important to have total confidence in your contraception's reliability and safety at all times, but especially on holiday, when a mishap can have far more serious consequences.

Given that an estimated 30% of pregnancies each year are unplanned, the Summer Loving Program* wanted to know more about women's priorities when organizing a holiday, which factors affected their sexual behavior, health and safety, and how these translate into what women need and want in their choice of contraception.

* The Summer Loving Program is an educational program, sponsored by Organon, aimed at increasing women's knowledge to improve their sexual health, well-being and safety, and to promote greater awareness of contraceptive choice.
